Another one of my hobbies is Tennis. It is not only great exercise, for me there is no greater feeling on earth than whacking the ball back and forth with great pace and power. It is perhaps one of the only games around that you just can't get up and play with a friend without knowing the game. Because I work out with weights two or three times a week, I have developed strong arms and legs and that has helped me to play a good game.

If you are really interested in learning how to play tennis, there is no better way than one on one lessons with a real USTPA certified teacher. I kept hearing phrases like "step into the ball" or "turn your shoulders around" or "get your racket back early" running through my mind. It is only now, about 2 years later that I know how really important phrases like those are to tennis. The only way to play good tennis without injuries like tennis elbow is to develop the form that is intricate in learning the game.

Here are some of the best tennis learning videos I have seen:

.
The Serve by Vic Braden Taught me to have a better serve by not tossing the ball 6 feet into the air. How to play Winning Tennis with Vic Braden.
Visual Tennis by Joan Yandel : Both these tapes utilize visual imagery which is a great way to learn even difficult strokes. The Chris Evert Winning Tennis collection: I especially like volume 1 and 2.

Below are some examples of stroke techniques displayed by my son, Roy.

Keep your eye on the ball.

Bring your racket back early.

Make contact with the ball out in front of your body.

Follow through with the racket over your shoulder.
