Annette

I have lived on the Gold Coast for 33 years, have two grown-up sons and I help my husband run a business. With my husband I enjoy cruising in our boat on the Broadwater and waterways from the Gold Coast to Brisbane.
I am an avid gardener and am enjoying the challenge of learning about stocks and shares.

Kerrie

I am a retired school teacher now running several share portfolios for my family. I have three fantastic children in their twenties. The eldest is a Doctor working in Ipswich at a regional hospital as a registrar and he recently married so I now have a lovely and talented daughter-in-law. The second son is an Engineer in Gladstone and the youngest, a daughter, is a Lawyer having just graduated from the University of Queensland. We all love to ski and have had and are still having wonderful family ski holidays in Europe, USA and Australia. We especially love Big Sky, Montana . My husband and I also ski in Australia every year at Thredbo.

Kelly

In my first life I was a lawyer in California and Nevada. I married an Australian and we now live with our two children in Toowoomba. When I'm not working on our fruit nusery business, I'm involved with Annie and Pete's school, sports and music activities. In my own time I enjoy doing my homework for the investment club and dream about having time to sew or cook something wonderful.

Pam

I was raised in Sydney, worked for Hewlett Packard for many years, some in the UK. I now lives on the Gold Coast working in the area of property management. I has just completed a Masters in International Finance as my recent interest.

Heather

I am a retired secondary school teacher now involved in the childcare industry. I am enjoying the challenge of the share market and especially the on-line information and possibilities on the Internet. My other interests include boating, snow skiing and keeping fit.

Shelly

1996 was a big year in my life - I joined LIPS! It was also the year our eldest daughter was married, the second turned 21, the youngest 18, I commenced a business degree course at Griffith University - and then I capped it off with my 50th brithday. I was born in Brisbane just an hour north from where we now live on the Gold Coast. My husband John and I lived in various parts of the United Kingdom from 1972 to 1980 whilst he was involved with postgraduate work and study, and in that time we did a fair bit of travelling in Europe.

Ps.. A lot has happened since writing the above - I finished the degree course in International Finance, am now a grandmother and have reached the ripe old age of 60. Our Club is humming along well and I would like to thank Kerrie for starting LIPS and inviting me to join.

I have Nursed and travelled and studied and travelled and then worked and travelled. When considering retirement - I have tried all the things one should do: travel, cross stitch, golf, bridge AND watching money grow.
Mostly, however I would like to retire so I can spend time on my passion - watching my nephew and his prospective sibling grow wihile they are still cute.
