CRM acted as the group underwriting manager for several small insurers that act as the front company by providing policy paper upon which to undertake risk. It eventually became Columbia General and was bought out by PacifiCare to become Pacificare Health and Life Insurance Company. The basis of the business was life, AD&D, and health coverages; insured, partially self-funded and fully self-funded. Business was referred by third party administrators. Supervisors were Louis Ross and J. Paul Dorris, F.S.A.. (the owners)
Associate Counsel was charged with modifying existing contracts in to a single, universal policy form system applicable to all present and potential carriers. The block would later be consolidated in to a single block of business and reinsured with an Arizona reinsurer established by CRM and subsequently in to an insurance company.
