The Fullerton Service Center is seeking candidates for the above position.
Responsibility for reviewing and recommending final underwriting action on proposals, applications, and renewal of cases usually involving less than 500 employees. Also responsible for resolving normal problems that arise in administering, servicing and retaining group insurance cases in the up to 500 employee range.Charge: write or renew group insurance contracts on a sound financial basis that are equitable to employees and is consistent with good underwriting judgment.
Authority: write offers for contracts up to $200,000 annual premium.
Financial Skills: forecast and prognosticate the financial liability of a group's plan of insurance benefits. Calculate rates and the charge for a change in risk exposure associated with changes in benefits structure. Calculate the costs, savings and liability associated with alternate methods of funding and risk sharing. Develop retention estimates.
Editorial Skills: prepare, revise and edit documents for client signature. Review, critique, revise and approve the proposed contract specifications for accuracy, consistency, completeness and closure. Edit and revise proposals to be released to the field representatives for client presentation.
Legal Skills: review offers and contracts for compliance with federal and state laws as well as company policy. Provide assistance to management in securing legislative materials.
