RMI is the managing general underwriter for Boston Mutual's group insurance business. The principles are Mr. Terrance Henchy, a former Lloyds of London underwriter and Mr. Jack Steincamp. Dean Blake formerly worked for Mr. Steincamp when he was president of the United Insurance Company of America group operation in Woodland Hills, Ca. ten years earlier. In this position I reported directly to the corporate president. The organization's principle office was removed from California to Jacksonville, Florida in 1995.
Job Duties and Accomplishments:
- Developed and drafted Compliance Bulletin system to notify the entire company of law changes and how to impliment those changes system-wide; Sample Bulletin.
- Negotiated and developed Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) and Third Party Administration (TPA) contracts for management at Boston Mutual.
- Drafted statutory Small Employer Group Health contracts for the following states: Arizona, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, California .
- Revised Managed Care contracts.
- Advise/consult with staff and management regarding legal standards and state and federal regulatory compliance.
- Drafted state endorsements for Multiple Employer Welfare Trust for the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IN, KS, LA, MO, NC, NH, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, WI, VA and Federal.
- Maintained TPA licensing, and fidelity and surety coverages.
- Assisted with rate filings and interpretation of filing requirements.
