Hello, my name is Chris_MD. Actually, this is not my real name, and an MD I am certainly not.

Chris_MD is my IRC nick, and the story behind this name is shortly told : IrishMoM, like me a
frequent visitor on #newbies, at one time didn't feel well, so I changed my nick, kola, to
Chris_MD to heal her.
My real name is Christoph Reuter, but I don't really like my first name,
so I prefer Chris.Well, I am 22 years old, and typing my age makes me realize once again how
fast time passes, which may sound like an awkward thought for somebody so young.
But I very vividly remember my time as a school kid, and before long, probably in less than
three years, I will be teaching school kids. My point is that my life will have changed so much
in so little time. But gosh, I'm getting philosophical !!
And I just wanted to introduce myself to the gentle reader .... :-)
Anyway, enough of my age and more about my life and interests. I am an addict if it comes to
computers, really. To be more specific, I'm hooked on the Internet. I enjoy browsing through
web site after web site just for the sake of browsing, for being on the Internet, for using this
medium as what it is - a glimpse of a future in which we all will communicate via the Internet
or what will have become of it, much faster than today, being able to access nearly any sort of
information conceivable. And this glimpse I need almost every day - otherwise I couldn't be
called an addict ;-). IRC chatting is the next thing that I find very hard to do without - my mom's
recent phone bill was proof enough of that, but she hasn't seen it yet so I don't need to worry yet.
I already mentioned the #newbies channel which I'm on a lot. Sometimes, as a Trekker, I join
#startrek or #voyager too. Not to forget #gblf.de, which is a German forum for gays, lesbians and
bisexuals (I think this channel is accessible only via servers linked to the net of German
universities, like irc.informatik.tu-muenchen.de or irc.uni-stuttgart.de). Well, this leads me to
another big part of my life. No, not the fact that I'm gay and proud of it, no, not that. Another big
part of my life is my boyfriend, a wonderful person who I love very, very much. We've been
together for thirteen months now, and there's nothing of a routine in our relationship, at least none
that I would describe as boring. Being very proud of him, I wanted to include a picture of him
but since he was rather indifferent about the idea, I won't. Now he'll have to beg me on his
knees. On the other hand, he'll probably have his own sub-page soon, accessible from my
homepage, and I bet he'll include a picture then. :-)
That's about all I can say about myself and that I think is important to say. But if there's
