National Hero Paul Bogle the most famous son of St. Thomas, born a slave and died as a free man and Hero.

He fought for improvements in the basic working conditions and better pay for the former slaves workers. The statue of Paul Bogle, National Hero, in Morant Bay Square. He was sentenced in the Morant Bay Court House (seen in the background) to hang for leading the Morant Bay Rebellion. This photo was taken with a Kodak DC20 digital camera at night without a flash.
