The temple was announced in June 1875.
Ground was broken and construction begun on 25 April 1877.
The cornerstone was laid in April 1877.
The temple was dedicated on the 17th and 21-23 May 1888.
The temple was remodeled and rededicated on 14-16 June 1985.
There are 8 Sealing rooms in the 86,809 square foot temple.
The Endowment Ceremony is presented live in the traditional 4 Ordinance rooms.
The twin towers are 179 feet tall.
