The Regina Saskatchewan Temple

of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

The Regina Temple will be remembered as the second half of the first pair of temples to be dedicated on the same day, along with the Halifax Temple. A truckers strike delayed the delivery of the exterior granite until just days before the start of the open house. Construction proceeded around the clock during the open house so the temple would be completed in time for the dedication. Despite the construction, with its noise, the open house was well attended.

The temple was announced on 3 August 1998.
Ground was broken and construction begun on 14 November 1998.
The cornerstone was laid and the temple dedicated on 14 November 1999.
There are 2 Sealing rooms and 2 Ordinance rooms in the 10,800 square foot temple.
The spire is about 78 feet tall.
The Regina Temple serves two stakes and one district in Saskatchewan.
