The Stockholm Sweeden Temple

of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

The Stockholm Temple is one of the more distinctive of the smaller six spired temples. Its spires, somewhat similar to the London Temple's are very similar to the traditional spires of local Christian chapels. Construction was delayed for over a year while archeologists excavated some Viking burials found in the area.

The temple was announced in April 1981.
Ground was broken and construction begun in March 1984.
The cornerstone was laid and the temple dedicated on 2-4 July 1985.
There are 3 Sealing rooms and 4 Ordinance rooms in the 14,508 square foot temple.
The tallest (east center) spire is 112 feet tall.
The Stockholm Temple serves stakes in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway.

I have not yet found any pictures of the interior.
