Four-time Pro Bowl Selection

Gilliam, a wide receiver, was a second round selection out of South Carolina State by the expansion New Orleans Saints. Gilliam spent two years in New Orleans and then the next two seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals. Starting in 1972, Gilliam played with the Minnesota Vikings and that season he totaled 1035 yards and 7 touchdowns. In 1975 he played for the Chicago Winds of the World Football League, but returned to the Vikings after the Winds folded after five games. He played for the Atlanta Falcons in 1976 and the Chicago Bears in 1977. Gilliam was a pro Bowl selection four straight years, 1972 to '75.
