1970 French Open Doubles Champion
Tiriac represented Romania as an ice hockey player at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck. Tiriac played in the Davis Cup finals with Ilie Nastase three times, in 1969, '70 and '72. He won the French Open doubles title with Nastase in 1970. He later gained fame as the manager of Wimbledon Champion Boris Becker. Following the fall of communism in Romania in 1990, he founded the Banca Tiriac and is now the wealthiest man in Romania with an estimated worth of $1.1 billion.
