Most of the backgrounds featured on my site are highlighting the talented skills of many young people. They are not public domain, and are not usable by the general public. Their art appears here with their expressed permission, and should not be taken. On each page featuring the arts of someone outside of this site, a link to them is visible, plus copyright details. Because of the amount of people enquiring about the backgrounds used in my site, I decided to give it ago, and make a few backgrounds of my Own. I have made several that are available for use to anyone on private non profit sites, free of use. I just ask that a link be provided back to me. You can find the background sets at My Background Set Collection. The background used on this page was made by me and is featured on that page. Apart from that, I have collected a number of nice faery pics along my way. I am unsure of most of the origional artists, so I am unable to give credit to the talented people who made these works possible. As far as I understand, they are all public domain. I hope there is something here that you can use and this little page has been of some help. If you would like me to clean up any of these graphics, please just let me know. Also, if your intrested in having one of these graphics as a bordered back ground (like the one on this page) Please drop me a line and I will see what I can do. There is a short tutorial beneath on how to use bordered back grounds should you need that help. Just one other note before you go off faery hunting... Please do NOT link to any graphic on my site. It slows down your own site, as well as my server and site. You may copy any of these graphics by placing your mouse over the grapic, clicking on the right button and moving down to "save image as:" then cick on that, and type in a file name, or use the existing name. Thank you for your co operation on this. "angelfly.gif" "fae-boris1s.gif" "fae-boris2s.gif" "fae-boris3.jpg" "fae-card2s.gif" "fae-card5s.gif" "fae-card6s.gif" "fae-misc13s.gif" "fae-misc15s.gif" "fae-misc16s.gif" "fae-misc19s.gif" "fae-misc21s.gif" "fae-misc22s.gif" "fae-misc23s.gif" "fae-misc25s.gif" "fae-misc26s.gif" "fae-misc27s.gif" "fae-misc28s.gif" "fae-misc29s.gif" "fae-misc30s.gif" "fae-misc34s.gif" "fae-misc35s.gif" "fae-misc4s.gif" "fae-misc6s.gif" "fae-misc8s.gif" "fae-misc9s.gif" "faery1.jpg" "fae-simmons2s.gif" "fae-simmons3s.gif" Most people have trouble working with bordered back grounds, and that is understandable. There are a few methods of working with bordered back grounds, but the easiest I find is with the use of an invisble gif. This is a basic layout of how I created this page using the invisible gif and the bordered backgrounds:
Firstly you will notice immediately after the opening body statement I started a table that never ended until I was to close the body statement. The next thing after the body statement was the invisble gif with a width statement. That width of 130 pixels covers the border, but the height must always be 0. SO the rest of the document is within the table until the very end of the body statement where it is ended with a /table /body. Thats all there is to it. And if your like me and like to use alot of tables, no worries, just do so as you would normally do. Now for the invisible gif. It is within the square below. Please just copy it to your hard drive or server.
(NOTE: someone recently asked me how to "force" html coding to appear within a html document as you have just seen above. The code for that is xmp and /xmp within the normal brackets to end. ) Where to Go and What to do?
