{My buttons and accessories here look similar to what is in File Manager, but they are non-working buttons.
Most of the links are disabled, but if it WAS a link in the operating File Manager, I made the text blue.
Working links are black and underlined.
All my comments on this page are in green text, and would not show up in your actual File Manager.
The names and some information here are the same as show up in MY File Manager}

IF your html files were created with GeoBuilder, this symbol will by next to them

To begin, you will want to 'Choose Editor' (choose Basic) and then click on the button
'Create New HTML File'. That will bring you inside the Basic Editor.
Right this second, though, finish looking at this page and connect to 'Inside Basic Editor' below.

Later, to re-edit, click on - to check - the box on the left side of the words 'index.html' above,
then choose your editor (below) BEFORE clicking on the 'Edit' button.

To view your file(s) click on the linked 'View' word between the file name and the date.

When you click on the 'down arrow', you will see 5 drop down choices :
Basic HTML Editor
Advanced HTML Editor
EZ Editor

Clicking on the button "About This Editor" when the Basic HTML Editor
is showing in the 'slot' above, brings you to a page that says ...

"This editor is for those of you who are new to making web pages and unfamiliar with HTML, the language used to create web pages. It's easy to use - you simply type text into the boxes provided and choose from a wide variety of graphics that you want to put on your page. The editor will automatically generate the correct HTML code. You can only use this editor to edit your index.html file (this is your Home Page file). If you have accidentally deleted your index.html file or FTP'd a file called index.html to your directory, then you will have to use the advanced editor for this and subsequent edits."

EZ File Upload

Automatically convert filenames to lowercase If you use NS Communicator (one example, there may be others) - your files will automatically upload with the file names in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS - plan for this, and when making links and inserting images within your pages, type them as all lower case and THEN, check this button as you upload your files so the file names will also be in all lower case letters.
Automatically change ".htm" extensions to ".html" Important if you are creating your 'index.html' page on your computer, and your computer names your files with the '.htm' extension instead of '.html'. Your first page that everyone sees, MUST BE NAMED 'index.html' NOT 'index.htm' -- if it is named with the .htm extension, NO ONE except you will be able to enter your pages !!







  

Number of Files to Upload:

By default, there will be 5 uploading boxes showing. You can choose numbers 1 thru 20 files to show / upload at a time. Make your choice by using the arrow, and clicking on the number you desire.
