About
Tandy Boy I
|
This
is one of the pictures of our dearest unforgettable
Tandy Boy I. He was born very ill and therefore ended to
pass away very young on May 5th, 1995, when he was only
5 and a half years old. In spite of his diseases, he seemed to be very happy.
He did love to play with the toy you can see in the
picture on the left. |
|
We
always tried to give him all the love and care he needed
to keep on being alive, but God had better call him at
once in order to save him from all those endless
pains.
We all do miss him very much though we still have our
other two dachshund darlings with us. They are Tandy Boy
II and his nephew Goofy Baby, whose stories you will be
able to read below.

About
Tandy Boy II
|
Well,
my full name is Tandy Boy II, but feel free to
simply call me Tandy, will ya? I am a proud Dachshund.
I do love the Matiolis. I was also born in São Paulo
City on August 22, 1995. About 5 years ago, I got
married (temporarily) with Menina, which means Girl
in English. |
|
She
stayed in my home for only 5 days (what a pity!), so I
miss her very much. Well, I thought she had become
pregnant then, but, some days after, she had to be taken
to her vet and undergo a very serious surgery. Thank God
the surgery was successful and nothing more serious
happened to her, but I would have to wait for Goofy
(the son she had promised to give me) a little bit more.
Dad Wagner and Mom Ruth were still willing to get
another boy like me, that is: handsome, strong,
intelligent, etcetera, etcetera. Therefore, about two
months after, they got me another (temporary) wife. Her
name is Casey.
She is also brown and looks like me a lot. She stayed
with me shorter than Menina, only 3 days. However, the
enough time for my doing what I had to. Everything
showed that she did get pregnant. What a wonderful
surprise! I became a father of 7
little brown girls. We all became very happy though
we knew that we had to wait for Goofy somewhat
more again. As the result of a previous agreement, The
Matiolis could pick out one of them, Punky,
and bring her home after she had completed 2 months old.
However, before that, Dad Wagner found out that my
sister Julie, who also lives in our neighborhood,
had become a mother of 5 beautiful healthy puppies, that
is 4 girls and 1 boy. For our luck, she became
interested in adopting Punky and, in return, give that
only little boy to The Matiolis. Yeah! That had to be Goofy,
the unexpected nephew that I soon started loving as my
own son.

About
Goofy Baby
|
Goofy
was born on September 18, 1997 and has turned a
beautiful black Doxie. Goofy
and I do get along fine with each other. He still
does funny things which Dad says I also used to do
when a I was as young as he.
|
|
I
am never jealous of him, for The Matiolis do love both
of us the same way they loved me when I was the only
boy in the house. Now, I do not feel so alone when The
Matiolis have to go to a place where I cannot go with
them. As I told you before, I've been passing Goofy
some good manners Mom and Dad had patiently taught me,
during the first months of my life, and for our luck,
he has finally learned how to do those simple things
in the right way. Dad had told me that I had to try to
be as patient as he used to be with me and that Goofy
would soon learn good manners somehow. Yeah, now I
know that Daddy was really sure!
