"Cream Cheese Mints"
These easy to make creamy mints are a hit with the old and young alike!
They're also pretty, too- and you can even tint them
to match your color scheme if you're planning
a tea party or birthday party!
~Ingredients~
- 2 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 3 ozs. softened cream cheese
- Peppermint flavoring to taste (about 1/4 teaspoon)
- Assorted food coloring
- Granulated sugar
- Candy Molds (optional)
~Directions~
- Mash the cream cheese and mix in the confectioners' sugar. If you will be using more than one color, divide mixture and place it int separate bowls. Add flavoring and color sparingly; you want soft pastels with a delicate flavor. Stir together until mixture resemvles pie dough. Roll into small ball and roll each ball in granulated sugar. Press balls into patties with glass dipped into granulated sugar or press them into the candy molds and unmold at once onto waxed paper. (Shake some sugar into the mold, if needed, to prevent sticking.) Voila! =)
