at several dinner parties and it always draws rave reviews.

-Swordfish with Sweet Peppers and Onions- I think my husband decided to marry me after tasting this one.
It remains among his favorites.
-Roast Pesto Chicken- No time to spend on preparations? Here's a simple
recipe. Ten minutes
tops from start to oven, but it must still cook for about
an hour and a half.
-Baked Zucchini and Pasta- Here's a little something I invented while expirementing one night..
I liked the it so well, I wrote it down. Hope
you like it too.
-Beef Fiorentine- Found this recipe on a little card in the meat section of the grocery store many, many years ago. I always think of it as Italian Beef Stew.
-Halibut Caddy Ganty- This yummy recipe was given to me by an EXCELLENT cook,
and even better friend, Elizabeth.
-Halibut with Mushrooms and Artichoke Hearts-
When you live in Alaska and are married to someone who loves to fish, it is always a good
idea to have a few halibut recipes on hand. This is one of my best.
-Tangy Pork Chops- Fancy enough for company, these chops are made in a slow cooker for a no-fuss family meal.

a dinner hostess one evening and now I'm impressing my guests with it.

of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, this one is a real crowd pleaser.
-Poached Pears in Red Wine Sauce- A light, elegant dessert,
and quite simple to prepare.
-Peaunt Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies from Heaven- This recipe was sent to me by my Aunt Carole a little while ago, and I finally had the chance to test it out. The name says it all! Yum Yum!
-Boorma- I learned to make these "cookies" when I was about 10 years old as part of my cooking badge for Camp Fire Girls and I have kept the recipe card close at hand ever since. These baklava-like treats are sure to become a favorite with anyone who tries them.
-Heavenly Chocolate Mousse Filled Cake- Not as hard to make as you may think, and once sliced into, makes a lovely presentation.
-Raspberry Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake- Lovely and luscious. You can't go wrong with this one.
-Fruit Cocktail Cake- Don't panic! This is not that dry yucky friut cake that gets passed around at Christmas every year. This cake is moist, sweet, and oh so good!

Jo's Favorite Recipes
Following are some my favorite recipes. I have prepared all of them at one time or
another and I am sure you will enjoy them as much as I have. Check back
often as I plan to make frequent additions to the list.
-The Neiman-Marcus Cookie- I have also seen this same recipe called Mrs. Field's Cookies, and the stories that go with the recipes are nearly identical. But, whether the story is true or not, there is no disputing the fact that this is one TERRIFIC chocolate chip cookie!
