As soon as you press the Power-on button on a color Palm-size PC device, the first major benefit of having a color screen is brought to life. Menu buttons and tool bars are much clearer to the eye, making it much easier to navigate the Windows CE interface and input information into applications such as Contacts and Calendar.
To show you the impact that color has, I have downloaded the following screenshots, which I think clearly show the difference in the viewing experience on color and a monochrome Palm-size PC using a variety of common Pocket Outlook applications.
1.) Contacts Application
Inputting information about a new contact in the Contacts application is a much smoother process on a color Palm-size PC than a monochrome one. The black text is much easier to distinguish against the white background of the dialog box - so no more inputting the wrong phone or fax numbers!
2.) Calendar Application
Color comes into its own when you are viewing complex and crowded Calendar information such as your daily, weekly and even monthly appointment schedule.

3.) Tasks Application
Inputting a new Action Item into the Tasks application is also a lot more convenient, and you can clearly view the notes you have added about what you need to do.
Just as with the Calendar application, color does a much better job of showing more detailed information, such as a task list, and highlighting important items. 
3.) Note Taker Application
Color Palm-size PCs make the Note Taker a much more pleasurable application to use for both inputting and viewing text. They even let you highlight important points through the use of color.
The Rick Ink feature also comes into its own with color. Maps and other simple drawings can be displayed that much more clearly.
