Time passes quickly... And chances are few...

November 5, 1997...
My Mom's fight against cancer ended today. Though I'll miss her so very much...I am comforted to know that her pain has ended. I want to thank my friends....for the kind words...the prayers, jokes, and gentle good humor that have helped make this time easier for me. You all have a place in my heart...I love you. Please know that you'll always have a friend in me...a shoulder to lean on...or cry on....
Please remember the quote above...time does tend to get away from us....chances don't always come the second time...I was lucky enough to get the time to tell my mom all the things I wanted to say...most importantly that I loved her...don't let the chances you have now pass you by...take the time...you'll never regret it....

It's hard to believe that over a year has passed...it's been such an incredibly hard year...and yet one of great growth, in myself and my life. I miss you Mom! So much that at times it still threatens to overwhelm me...and yet you've given me a gift so precious...your life touched mine almost as much in your passing as it did during the wonderful days we spent together. Thank you Mom..for the calm, the strength to face what has to be, and the insight to look ahead to the future with bright expectations. I hope you see all that you've done and continue to do for me, and know that my appreciation spans time and space, I love you!
To my friends...please, take the time I mentioned a year ago to tell those close and dear to you just what they mean to you...and your life, you'll never regret it!!!! *SMILE*
