Welcome to my trip to Sweden!!

(This page is kind of graphic intense...but well worth it!!)

Isn't this a wonderful view?? I could sit there for a long time and look at that scene!! *S* Mike's boys wanted to show me this place, it was so beautiful!!!

These are just a couple of scenes that Mike showed me while I was in Sweden, they were just so beautiful that I chose them to share. *S*

When the sun goes down....there's no words to describe the scene!!! *S*

One of the biggest reasons I wanted to travel to Sweden was to meet my new step sons!!! They are adorable!!!!! They even gave me a lesson in the Swedish language and although I have a LONG way to go, I'm sure with their help I'll learn enough to get by!! *S*

While visiting a technical display in Malmo, Mike showed me a Swedish Draken that he'd actually flown!! *S* He was also instrumental in placing the jet on display! *S*

Since Mike is pretty heavily involved in Swedish politics I thought I should include a picture of the Malmo headquarters for his party. *S* It's called Moderaterna and it's very similar to our Republican party. There are many changes on the horizon for Sweden, some a long time coming and some just plain necessary! With their joining of the European Union, Sweden will hopefully find things in their country better, without losing the charm and sense of history that makes it a unique country! *S*

We got a chance to visit Denmark for a little while, here we saw the castle that Shakespeare set Hamlet in!!!! *S* It was a great experience to see a castle that is so old and yet so well preserved! It was fun to imagine kings, queens, and knights roaming the same corridors that we walked through!*S*

This trip would not have been possible without a very special gift from Geocities!!! And while I was there I was given the opportunity to "give a little back" by helping some junior college internet students set up a home on Geocities!! Although the class was very small due to a work study program also happening that day, the kids seemed to enjoy their venture into "my world" *S* I would like to thank the folks at Geocities for giving me this opportunity and the trip of a lifetime!!
It was a wonderful ten days and I can't wait to visit there again!!!!*SMILE*
