I graduated in Wah Yan College, Kowloon in 1998 and I am now studying Building Surveying in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I have a sister one year younger than I. My parents are civil servants. I live in Sham Shui Po district in Hong Kong .
I studied 4 Science subjects ( Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology ), 2 Arts subjects ( Chinese History and Geography ) and 2 languages ( English and Chinese ) in the Cert. Level. When I was promoted to F.6, I studied Physics, Chemistry and Pure Mathematics as the three Advanced Level subjects. In the past long summer vacation from May to Mid-September in 1998, I decided to look for a job to kill my time. However, I could not find any jobs. I have tried my best but no one employ me. Fortunately, I could be a private tutor for four students and I earned nearly $8000 a month. Thank God! You may think that how I would use this large sum of money. I have planned to spend about $5000 to upgrade my computer and about $10000 to buy a powerful telescope for better observation of deep sky objects. Moreover, I would use about $6000 to upgrade my camera in order to capture the images through the telecsope. As you all know ( if you are my friend ), I like astronomy and taking photographs very much. I bought 15 books to further my study in astronomy in the past vacation because I had put them totally down during the examination period ( In fact, I have forgotten them all ! ). For the remaining money, I have saved them up in my bank account. In 1999, I went to Japan for three times. Two times in the summer and one in the Christmas. I was very happy since I could see many things that could not be seen in Hong Kong and I was extremely excited when I saw tens of stalls that sold cameras in Shinjuku at the nighttime. You know, I am addicted to photography. The money I spent in the cameras and related accessories was about 3 times of the total costs of the trip. So poor I am at this moment ar! I have $0 in my saving account ar~~!! In the summer of 2000,
Exam for chinese was on 14/12. We had to write two compositions of a total of 1000 words within one hour and 45 minutes. Exam for maintenance technology was on 18/12. This day indicated my last day of examination in this semester, and the most importantly, the start of vacation. In the last two years, we had to study in the Christmas because exams were held after 27/12. So it was very lucky for me in this semester --- I could spend time wanderering around and enjoy myself as well as with my friends during the Christmas time. Yeah! Gordon came back to Hong Kong in the Christmas holiday. We had a nice night talking and drinking with Winson, Miro, Paul and Gabriel. I will upload the photos in the web later. On 24/12, I bought the Canon EF 135mm f/2.0L lens. It was an excellent lens for taking portrait. In the first week of 2001, I took photos in Tsim Sha Tsui. Please click here to see them. In the April of 2001, I owned my third and fourth Canon L lens. They are the 17-35 f/2.8L and 28-80 f/2.8L. Yeah!Yeah!Yeah! But since the exam is coming, I do not have time to use the lens for taking photos. Since July 2001, I have been employed as a building safety assistant in the Buildings Department of HKSAR. My major task is about the clearance of unauthorized building works in backlanes in Yau Tsim Mong district. My office is at 16/F, Buildings Department, Pioneer Centre, Nathan Road, Mongkok. If you have time, pls visit me. My job as a building safety assistant has terminated with effect from 3/7/2001. At present, I am now employed as a building surveying graduate in the same department. My new office has changed to 14/F in the same building. In this section, the New Building Division / New Territories, my main responsibilies are to assist the Building Surveyors in checking new building plans and addition and alternation plans against the current legislations such as the Buildings Ordinance (Cap. 123), in carring out site inspections to identify any site constraints in approval-related proforma, to check whether any neccessary precationary works have been completed before any commencement of building works in consent-related proforma, to spot out any irregularities or deviations from the latest approval plans and from the current legislation in Occupation Permit application stage, etc. After six-month training in the New Building Division, I have learnt more in the application of the Buildings Ordinance and Regulations, the relevant Code of Practice and the Design Manual. In April, I move to the Existing Building Division to continue my professional training. I am now in Section B, mainly dealing with public about the complaint they make. 我 的 個 人 小 檔 案 |
