Important Information
Here is just some useful information and all requirements. Dragon sizes, ranking order, and things like that.
Requirements
The main requirement is post! Be active and creative; we'll notice it!
For Goldriders
Potential Goldriders must have at least one other active PC character.
Potential Gold players must have an established knowledge of pern. All members must be familiar with the world, but Goldriders moreso.
Frequent, creative posting. You must be able to initiate threads, and be ready and willing to respond to open threads.
For Wingleaders/Master Crafters
At least one other character.
Frequent, quality posting.
Knowledge of Craft.
As mentioned, not too strenuous! Just some things for us to go by, because choosing people for positions can be a difficult thing.
Dragon sizes
Golds: 38 to 42 feet long.
Bronzes: 35 to 38 feet long.
Browns: 30 to 35 feet long.
Blues: 25 t0 30 feet long.
Greens: 20 to 25 feet long.
There can be some slight variations, a very large brown or very small gold, but nothing too farfetched.
Weyr Rank
The rank in the weyr is very important. This is a list of who answers to who.
Weyrwoman. Everyone answers to her. Next is the Weyrwoman's second, and any other mature gold going down in that order.
Weyrleader: He's after the goldriders. He answers only to them. Then after him is the Weyrleader Second.

Wingleaders: In charge of their specific wings and the riders in those wings.
Headwoman/Steward: In charge of all the daily trivial matters of the weyr, including inventory. Answers to WW, WLs.
Masters: Of any sort. They are in charge of all the journeymen and apprentices at the weyr.
Candidate Master: In charge of the candidates.
Weyrlings: Above apprentices and candidates, but at the same level as journeyman.
Candidates: The same as apprentices.
Drudges: The lowest, without even a shoulder knot to identify them.
Weyr Colors
Fort Weyr: Brown
High Reaches: Dark Blue
Telgar: White
Ista: Orange
Igen: Yellow
Xanadu: Silver
Altera: Green
Broken Ridge: Black
Bitkim: Purple
Technology
Long Distance Speaking Devices: A lot like old fashioned Morse Code machines. Taps are sent out over wires in specific patterns, to send messages out over longer distances in shorter time.
Aqua Lungs: Tanks of air that are held on the back and connected to the mouth with a facial mask and a tube. These allow dolphineers to breath underwater while training.
Printing Press/Books: Simple printing presses, with lead set type and powered easily by water, wind or hand power. Books of teaching ballads are practically mandatory in all holds, and there are many books of luxury ballads as well.
Computers: There is a campaign put forth by the harper hall and the Smithcraft Hall to have a working computer in every weyr and major hall. Journeymen are just starting out this season with news of the plan.
