I just started my humble page recently and your's has shown me just how humble it really is and how much work I need to do. (Whew!)I found you by searching "lavergne" in the GeoCities neighborhood page. I have lots of relatives in the SW Louisiana area, so we might be kin. Either way, I'll enjoy visting your wonderful site in the future and picking up some pointers along the way.By the way, I really enjoyed your RFK tribute. It's nice to refute the stereotype of the Cajun as a redneck racist. The Cajuns have suffered enough discrimination in their past and should know better than to do the same. Thanks for setting the right example. |

Time: 1998-05-25 05:55:02 Comments: Hello Char, thanks so much for visiting again.. I was beginning to wonder (as always) if you were all Okay? It's been a Long Time! Pleased you got the magazine Okay and thanks for the kind comments.. Sorry if it got you a litlle upset.. In a later edition, there was a letter from a lady in Western Australia to say how touched SHE was by the article.. Guess I have sent out about 50 around the World and people are generally touched by it.. The 'Donation' of $300 (plus a bit more), was split between the Hospice in Modbury Hospital (Free of Charge) where they looked after Eileen during the last few days with such compassion, and the Royal Adelaide Hospital Cancer Research Unit. Strange how these people need to BEG for funds to continue their work? We are going to a Remembrance Service in a College Chapel next Saturday, in remembrance of people who have donated organs.. There is a 'Special' Rose being propogated named 'Reflection', also in remembrance, so we hope to get some at the end of the year.. Nice to hear that 'Ron' is behaving himself and not drinking too much 'Foster's' I hope. I love his accent? :-) Anyway Char, if you feel like sending an E-Mail some time, I will be looking forward to it.. Thanks again for all, hope to hear from you again soon.. Love and Kindest Regards.. Ron. |
