~In Part-1 of this series, we examined one of the potential scenarios that Moonies could play in a George W. Bush Presidency, but what makes that scenario plausible at all, is the history that George W. Bush's father, former President George Bush has developed with the Moonies over the years. This will likely both enlighten and shock you. It is simply amazing how the web weaves through the Moonies and the Bush Family, and we will detail much of that in this article.

~It was not that many years ago that former President George Bush was having great difficulty in expressing a clear agenda for America. He called it "The Vision Thing", refering to it with obvious lack of interest. And, not surprisingly, because it was that "thing" that he sorely lacked as he watched his Presidency sink in floods of discontent of the American people, who chose not to wait for Bush to find a vision, and joined a growing chorus of citizens not wanting Bush to have a second term.

Possibly seething in dissapointment over the rejection of the electoral college to give him another term, George Bush decided to pursue a "vision" in South America. Only, it was not Bush's vision, but Sun Myung Moon's that had Bush there! In fact, Bush himself had praised Moon as "...the man with the vision." Bush had arrived in Buenos Aires on Nov. 22, 1996 by private plane, to perform his contractual duties as a speaker for the opening of Moon's newspaper in Argentina. The Argentine Press had spoken out against Moon's venture, detailing the sordid history of the convicted felon, messiah, business man, Rev. Moon, but the prestige that a former United States President like Bush, brought Moon, quickly quieted some, and opened doors to others. Moon opened his paper, and George Bush opened up his pockets to the Rev. Sun Myung Moon and received fees that one Article suggested could be as high as Ten Million Dollars for a "package" of speaking engagements on behalf of Moon's Tiempos del Mundo, a new regional newspaper in South America that Moon hopes will provide the same power and influence that the The Washington Times has brought him in America's capital.

~While Bush's presence at a Moonie functionmay have surprised some, it was not the first, nor the last such cooperative efforts between Moon and Bush. In fact, there has been a long history of contact and contracts between the two families, making a new George W. Bush presidency all the more disconcerting.

~As noted above, Bush has spoken for at least 3 completely different Moonie front-groups, and on one of them, even calling Moon "...the man with the vision". It cannot be underestimated, the enormous benefits that a former President of the U.S., such as Bush, provides a convicted felon like Sun Myung Moon, in giving legitimacy to his various organizations. Moon has paid George Bush's family well for their efforts on his behalf. In public speeches, Moon himself has taken credit for the elections of Ronald Reagan and George Bush and with his Washington Times newspaper, and his followers manpower for passing out brochures and voting scorecards, as well as likely financial support, it would appear that Moon certainly played a key role in helping these two men. It may be that Bush and Reagan saw it that way as well, because Moon was a V.I.P. guest at the first Reagan-Bush inauguration. For a man as vilified by society as Moon, to be a guest of that caliber, has the smell of favors being re-paid. One wonders how many more favors, Moon and his multi-billion dollar church/business/political conglomeration are owed by the former President and whether his son, if elected President, will be the one to help pay Rev. Moon back?
