Nurse Betty
Nurse Betty is an odd film which draws its strengths from some outstanding lead performances, mainly from the wonderful Renee Zellweger and the always trustworthy Morgan Freeman.  Its a quirky and funny film with nasty touches thrown in (it is from the maker of In the Company of Men and Your Friends and Neighbours), which give it a very different feel, and luckily not, in my opinion, an uneven one.  As I said earlier, Renee Zellweger is fantastic in this film, and she keeps the whole thing together with her intoxicating charm and warmth.  In the end, this is a fresh and very entertaining film that may not have worked without the help of Zellweger and shows that Neil LaBute may have a heart after all (although this isn't without it's dark side).
