Forms for walkway from driveway to front door and from front door to street.
Continued work on the driveway forms and re-bar.  Not long after this, the city hassled me about not having an "Encroachment Permit".  $76 later, they gave me the go-ahead to pour the driveway, but not the brick along the street (see form to the left of the driveway parallel to the street).
Wed. 9/12, 6:50am.  I woke up early today because I knew the driveway was going to be poured.  When I looked out the window at 6:45 the truck was already here.  5 minutes later it's a flurry of activity as they pour
the driveway.  Miguel (#2 man) has his hands on the cement chute).
The driveway is poured and the aggregate is in place.  Interestingly, you can't see it in this picture because it's
been worked into the cement.  Later the aggregate will be exposed with a brush and water.  They sprayed
sugar water on the surface to keep it from curing which makes exposing the aggregate easier.
Forms are removed and the aggregate has been exposed.  It's still hazy with a thin film of concrete on it.
It will get an acid wash tomorrow to brighten it up, but it looks great already.
Here's a closeup of the driveway surface.
Wed, 9/12: Brickwork has begun as well.  Here's the walk from the street to the front door.  Eventually
there will be one course of brick on each edge with a herringbone pattern down the middle.
