That Thing You Do, I believe, has one of the all time greatest soundtracks featuring The Wonders, ofcourse, Del Paxton, Diane Dane, Freddy Fredrickson the Chantrellines and everyones favourite, Cap'n Geech & The Shrimp Shack Shooters!!
Based on the popular erra music of the late 60's, That Thing You Do's soundtrack features all my favourite groovy songs such as 'Lovn' You Lots N Lots' and Mr Downtown!! Ok, so The Wonders may not be the equivalent Green Day or Hanson, but they're definatly worth a listen to!!

Guys works at the local Electrical store, family owned Pattersons. His position as a salesman seems highly under rated for his friendly and outgoing personality. His girlfriend before becoming a member of The Wonders-origionally the Oh-Ne-Ders! (OneDers), was a typical sweet blonde who cared more about her new Dentist than her boyfriends new-found fame within the small Errie town. Deep down Guy has a special thing for Jimmys girlfriend, who could be called the fifth non-musical member of The Wonders, Faye. However it isn't until the end of the movie that their feelings for each other come out....
*Aww* There just had to be a HaPpY ending mixed in there or it wouldn't have been a classic HollyWood Film! 
Jimmy is the one behind the hit record, That Thing You Do, although it was Guys idea that made it a #1 Hit by changing the tempo from a ballad to a rock song! He's described as The Talent or Brains behind the bands success, but it appears all he's interested in doing is making another record rather than soaking in the fame, fun and fortune of their first record! As fame gets the his head, he forgets about his girlfriend of 3 years Faye and when rumour gets out they may be engaded... things come to a crashing halt. He's definatly too serious for the others and heads for an 'older woman', Diane Dane! 
Lennys..the dumb one?? He'd preffer to just call them The Band Your About To Hear Next and get it over and done! The girls definatly rate him 4th class to the other band members but with fame comes females and eventually he finds a girl whilest staying at a plush HollyWood hotel and runs off with her in a convertable across the desert to Rino...where they get hitched! He plays the Guitar in band and does back up vocals with The Bass-Player.
While the bass player and the origional drummer are sky-larking, the drumer breaks his arm which is what leads them to Guy! Smart move, eh? I reckon the Bass Player is the cutest.. he's soo funny!! He's also out of Empire Records! He signs up for the marines and while the rest of the band are airing on national TV, he's in DisneyLand!! As you can see from his pic, he's the sort of geeky, lanky silly one of the band...and then, there is Faye...
Faye's gorgeous, kind, caring and ah.. I just Love Faye! She comes along for the ride with the fellas and supports them all the way being their #1 Fan from the begginning! She's devoted to Jimmy, but soon realises he isn't what she expected as fame goes to his head and realises it's Guy she Loves.. and *aahh*!
