The Realationship...
Described by 'People' Magazine as, "the only woman who has come close to having DiCaprio all to herself",

Kristin Zang, former model, and blonde beauty was spotted on the arm of Leo for over 15 months, and was definately a major player in the Leonardo DiCaprio dating scene.

During his two year relationship with Kristin, Leonardo revealed a very sweet, romantic side. "I cant wait to see her at the end of the day," he said. "She is the cuttest girl in the world!" In fact his devotion to Kristin was so great, that he would regularly fly her to the 'Titanic' set in Mexico for Romantic reunions.

How Did They Meet?
The pair started dating each other in 1995 after Leonardo's mother set them up together -But Leonardo was weary at the start.

"I've never been a Romeo who meets a girl and falls for her immediately," he confesses. "Although I do believe in Love at first sight, Its been a much slower process for me each time I have gone into a relationship."

The rumours that Kristin and Leo had gone their seperate ways were followed through with Leo being spotted with other famous beauty's including Helena Christensen and Amber Valetta.

Why did they Break Up...
Supposedly when Leo was nearly finished filming Titanic, kristin broke off the relationship with Leo because she knew how popular he was going to become and she didnt want the hassle of a relationship that was so in the limelight. Leo agreed, with the attitude that, a little Kristin is better than no kristin at all, and now the two are good friends

So What does the future Hold for the two?
Who knows...but many of Leo's true friends say that it would take a specil person to fill the gap that Kristin had once filled...until then many believe that Leo will continue to club hop meet girls and do whatever comes naturally for the young actor. Maybe one day, when the time is right, the two will get back together.. Whatever the case, they sure do look cosy at Leo's 21st Birthday Bash dont they!
