Comments: My father was one of 21 chidren born in Sumter Co. SC or in and around Richmond, VA. His fater was Peter Winfield Turner and his mother was Ophelia Hall Turner. Much research on my brach was placed in the archives of the Mormon Church in Salt Lake City. S pposedly this branch is traced through Jamestown, VA (1609) where two brothers arrived as indentured farmers from Staffordshire, England. I read this in a document nearly 40 years ago, but I have no idea where that is today.

They had at least one child, Artemus I. Turner. Isaac and Eliza we e born and died in Sutton, while Artemus is interred at Cherry River near Magog along with his wife Mary R. Lewis. I have so little information and so many names. Warren County in Kentucky is where he was born as Ga ey Turner so was his wife Anthy Hazel. In fact I have found NO information on the internet to any of my relatives. The information I have gotten was from court houses and library. Seems like somebody out there on the internet can be related to me somehow I have a half brother I never even met. It does seem interesting that I have a Lena Texana Turner that married Jackson Graham Norman and named their son Noble. My mother had sister named Leola Turner. My line of turners has been searched back to E.H. Turner and Elizabeth Ann Jones in Natchitoches LA in 1840. Family sources tell me that they came from MS but I still have not found them there.
