The Mystery cat, the Hidden Paw, the Flying Squad's Dispair: all these names describe Macavity, the Napolion of crime. Some say he is a fallen Jellicle, some say he is something else entirely. All that is known for sure is that he's bad news on the eve of the Jellicle Ball. He has a following of hench - rats who help him in his evil deeds. He also has a number of cats who are his agents; Mungojerrie and Griddlebone are two cats rumored to be in his employ (although I prefer to think that Mungojerrie has reformed somewhat). Macavity appears to have some sort of obession with Demeter, perhaps something from a shared past.Macavity is a ginger, or red cat, with a long, wild main and long claws. He does some incredible jumps when he surprises the Jellicles, and he is a master of disguise as well, he manages to fool every cat except for Demeter when he disguises himself as Old Deuteronomy.
