James Allen James Allen 1822 - 1886 aged probably 64, was married to Martha McEwan by the Revd Robert Moorehead at Fedney, County Down, Ireland on 18 March 1845 and their first 3 children were born. James Allen travelled to Australia in 1852 on the Bernoof, and Martha followed with the children later in the year. Their daughter Elizabeth was born 16 Aug 1852 but died in March 1853. Martha McEwan and James Allen had three children registered in Victoria. James Allen died in 1886, when his age was given as 44.
