Grose William Grose aged 19 or 21 arrived May 1853 on the Marco Polo (two entries) William Grose born in Cornwall, wed 1855 to Caroline Mercer 1821 - 1866 aged 45, daughter of not remembered Merson and Ann Burston. There are 6 other marriages by William Grose from 1859 to 1880, so I was not able to trace his life after Caroline's death.

Grylls Break on 31 Dec 2003 found at Freefind Possible marriage is Thomas Grylls to Dec 1838, to Mary Ann Mann at Penzance Vol 9, page 294 Nicholas Mann Grylls registered June 1838 at Penzance Vol 9, page 198, Thomas Grylls birth registered at Penzance Sep 1839 Vol 9 page 167, * Cornwall Census 1841 Civil Parish of St. Just, Book 10 Folio 36 Page 27 and 28 Bosorne New Downs Princess St,1 all born in county Thomas Grylls,25,,Tin Miner, Maryanne Grylls,,25, Nicholas Grylls,3, Thomas Grylls,1, Thomas Grylls born 1813 in Cornwall, England, his wife Mary, and their sons Nicholas, Thomas and John, boarded the Marchioness at Plymouth and arrived at Melbourne on 4 Aug 1853. The family lived first at Sandhurst (later called Bendigo) then purchased 'Bellview' at Laenecoorie in 1857, and also land at Woodstock, 4 miles NE of 'Bellview' which Nicholas developed. Thomas and John settled at 'TangTang' Dingee, and worked it as partners till Thomas died in 1890. James Henry Grylls, the eldest son of Nicholas, went to live with his grandparents in 1874, when aged 9 years, to help with the farm, and when they retired and moved to Bendigo, he continued to manage 'Woodstock' which he then inherited and he continued living there till he died on 25 Feb 1950. Nicholas Mann Grylls May-June 1838, died on 5 Feb 1912 after being kicked by a horse. He wed 1865 #1043 to Mary Matthews Trenowth, who died 16 Feb 1919, daughter of Mary Ann Matthews and John Trenowth. Both are buried at Eddington. Mary Ann is daughter of Mary Nicholson and James Matthews of Cornwall 1812 - 1870 #5471 aged 57.
