Peter Roach is my great grandfather. I am descended from the first marraige to Charlotte Docherty. I gather that he first came to Kew I think in the early 1850s. The first marriage had a very sad ending. I learned a lot of this from Betty Joyner. My gradfather was Peter named after his Dad. He came to N Z in 1898.

You say you come from Peter Roach born 1857 #7506 at Fryers Creek, son of Charlotte Doherty and Patrick Roach. Next children have father as Peter and mother as Charlotte Docherty = Edward who died aged 2, and Alexander born late 1860 #21717

Can not find Roach - Charlotte death about 1862
- did another search using wild cards and goot Reach Charlotte daughter of Dogherty John and Margery Unknown died aged 34 from Scotland died 1863 #4151
