Hi again Elizabeth,
Thought you might like this information on David Walkers family.
As you can see daughter Jane joined her parents on Ship Ameer to Australia in 1854 Records also show 3 other daughters born in Australia, Laura Elizabeth, Martha, and Ellen.
David Walkers parents were Matthew Walker and Elizabeth Gardiner
I have attached copies of Charlotte and Davids wedding certificate. It is interesting to note that he was a widower.
I wonder if Jane was his and Charlottes daughter as marriage and birth dates vary so much.
Also she was christened just before they came to Australia.
The Dunolly hospital records also have information on David as he aged.
I have also been very busy chasing up the Krygger side of the family for my son.
He is related through John Krygger. His eldest grandson Allan McBride born on the 8/8/1900, is my sons Grandfather.

Is he John Krygger at Peter Krygger's page?

Bye for now, Carole Krygger.

Watson

From on Monday, 4 August, 2008

I am reserching my fam history and I came across a record on your site for a John Watson marriage to a Elizabeth Whelan, I was just wondering if you have any additional information on them, the John I am looking for was married b4 my line begins and this entry could possibly be it, on his 2nd marriage cert he is listed as a widower March 1863, and has 3 children. Any info would be greatly appriciated.

Thankyou for your reply, so what you are saying is that Elizabeth Watson nee Whelan died in 1963 during childbirth? That would suit his first wife as she passed March 1963 on his 2nd marr cert. So the William Whelan Watson you were looking for could quite possibly be a son from my gggrandfathers John's first marriage?
I have Johns second marriage info but unfortunatly for me I have his parents names (Mothers maiden name hard to read but the dept gave me what they think it is) from england but thats all I can find, I was wondering if you have his marriage cert to Elizabeth Whelan are his parents stated as William Watson And Isabella Hodgen?

His 2nd Marriage was at All Saints church, Sandhurst 28th July 1864. His parents are from England (they never came to Aus).

Recently I have contacted you in relation to John Watson, I have since confimed that it is the same John however this might interest you. On your line your researching he first married Elizabeth Whelan in 1858 he was aged 24 (as stated on marriage cert) this would make his birth year 1834 but on his second marriage certificate in 1864 only 6 years later his age is stated as 41 which would make his birth year 1823? so in six years his age added an extra 7 years on top of the 6 years between marriages. This has me stumped, if you have any info on how this could happen?

Our family stories say that our GGGrandma Margaret Elizabeth Watson was killed by machinery howeve I have just made some progress and it might actually be Elizabeth that got entangled in the machinery and there is a record for 1863?

Cheers Jade Butson

Hello Elizabeth,
Whilst looking around for MUXWORTHY ancestors I came agross your excellent site. I found a family of ancestors on the site that matched mine...well almost matched! I notice that on your site you have a Nicholas Muxworthy, aged 42, as arriving on the Commodore Perry in 1860 with wife Eliza and children. The name Nicholas should actually read Archelaus, I believe the transcribing was wrong. Archelaus was born in Tawstock, Devon, England in 1818 and emigrated in 1860.
Just a small correction, but others may be confused by the name Nicholas!
Many thanks for a great site!
Best regards,
Roger Hall, Shrewsbury, UK

William Worthy (1849-1940) had 5 children and one of these, Caroline Worthy (1877) married my great granduncle William Thompson. He was born in 1871 in Brighton, Victoria. They had a daughter together in 1922. Caroline Worthy actually married twice and had 4 children with her first husband Joseph Burbidge. One of those daughters married one of William's sons as well.
I am tracing the Thompson tree and wondered if you had any more information you are able to share on this particular branch?
I am happy to forward more details if of interest.
Kind regards, Debra Andreassen
