Life Line (or The Life n Timez of Rajan Mathew)
The purpose of this homepage is to provide a point of reference for information about myself and things
that are part of my life. I will be posting information in various sections, about my professional background,
achievements and aspirations, my family background, and interests and other things that are close to my heart.
The ONLY thing constant is CHANGE! Keep visiting to view these pages as they keep metamorphosizing with time....
I am a young man of 34 years, and happily married to Geena (nee
Geena George Vadakkan). Recently we have been blessed with a Baby Girl, born to us on 03 Feb 2004 in Mumbai.
She has been christened Melissa Dorothy Mathew. I presently live in Chembur, Mumbai with my family: my wife, Geena, daughter Melissa and younger brother, Mr Nirmal
Manoj Theophilus Mathew.
My Parents have passed away, may their souls rest in eternal peace, but have left behind their invaluable love,
teaching and examples to live by.

I was born to Mathew & Dorothy, in the UK (Woodford, Redbridge - a Borough of Greater London).
My brother was born 3 years later. Our family lived there till the age of 8, and then we all moved back to India, and settled in Mumbai.
I completed my education across India in Nagpur, Kerala, Pune and Mumbai.
I started as a Research Chemist, and moved into the Travel & Tourism sphere and moved on to the area of
Software, Web Development & Multimedia. A nose of a hound for information irrespective of the field that
I have worked in, along with academic inclinations and an inquisitive nature,
working with and researching new areas have been my forte. As a science,
Chemistry was an area of key interest and my education and professional
endeavors was to make advances in this area. Generally my personal areas of interest have been related to Travel,
Geography, Tourism & Transport, but systems have also been of keen interest. I see myself as a key resource
person in this information age, with ability to search and analyze data.
In continuation of these interests, I look towards the areas of Technical
Writing, Content Development, Quality Assurance, Knowledge Research and Training
as areas where I would meaningfully grow.
On a personal level, if you were to ask me which part of India I hail from,
which community I belong to or what is my mother-tongue.. it is difficult for me
to answer these questions since I have inherited so many different legacies. My
Father was a Syrian (Syro-Malabar) Roman Catholic Malayalee (Keralite) hailing
from a famous Kerala family. The family has traditionally been agrarian, and
even today the large majority remain in agriculture. Our family also has a small
plantation on top of a hill... My Mother was essentially from Nagpur (Central
India). With Marathi culture and upbringing and ethnic roots that include UP (Uttar
Pradesh), Gujarati, Central Indian and Tamilian flavours coupled with a Christian environment, I cannot claim any one language or culture to be my own. I believe that no culture or group is
superior, only that each one has evolved their own peculiarities and in totality
adds to the richness of life. Having being brought up with a deep-rooted faith,
I remain a firm Roman Catholic with an appreciation of the other expressions of Christianity
and the underlying universal principle that all religions are ways that man
wishes to seek and relate to God and universal truth, as the greater unseen
force behind our earthly lives.

OUR FAMILY TREE - My roots lie in the Thozhuthumkavayalil-Thalachira & Stevenson Families. Geena's roots lie in the Vadakkan & Kizhakepeedika Families. This section traces out our family tree as we know it. We invite our family members to update
it so that at a later stage individual family tree websites that are
contemplated will be translated to reality. Essentially the starting (or culmination) point of the family tree is our daughter Melissa Dorothy Mathew, who traces her roots to the above mentioned families.
