Cadillac IMAJ You may have seen this one before at a number of auto shows around the country. Maybe the front-end styling is a little over the top, but the idea of an "ultimate luxury four-place sedan" is a new one for Cadillac and may be just the product needed to restore the marque to "Standard of the World" status. IMAJ is loaded with electronic wizardry for security, safety and handling—nonetheless, the more interesting features are an unusual body shape and center-opening rear doors. Chauffeur driven of course, the only question is whether Cadillac has the daring and resolve to bring IMAJ into production to compete with other Luxury cars... The Cien came to the Syracuse for our Auto in early February 2003.

This was supposed to be the next Seville, fortunatly it is dead and the style is being changed, I will let you know as soon as I do. 2005 Model.

This is the Cadillac Cien!

The look of this car's sheetmetal is reflected in its interior. Aluminum and carbon-fiber accents teamed with rich materials, there is a technical starkness with luxury. The cockpit features a full complement of telematics, Night Vision, OnStar, StabiliTrak and Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist. A Communiport system combines the audio, navigation and wireless communication via hands-free voice activation.
LCD panel screens reflect data from the Cien's navigation system and rearview cameras. And sound is state-of-the-art and includes headrest speakers for truly awsome sound...
Featured is the NXT's SurfaceSound technology utilizes thin, light and rigid panels driven by tiny exciter elements to generate sound. The panels distribute sound evenly across their frequency range and, because of their diffuse sound field, create a smooth and immersive listening experience, free of the beaming and discontinuity of standard car audio speakers.

The Cien delivers power with a 7.5-liter V12 with a measly 750 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque from an all-aluminum engine with the fuel economy standards in mind. The engine — dubbed a Northstar XV12 featuring Displacement on Demand technology which maximizes fuel efficiency by occasionally allowing the car to run on six cylinders. A combined starter generator allows for faster, quiet starts. Direct-injection gasoline combustion system amps up power, improves fuel efficiency as well as helping to bring down emissions. The car is governed by a semi-automatic transmission with racing-style electronic paddle shifting. For the money, a buyer will get a stellar list of high-tech hardware.

But more importantly, he would be a player among the automotive world's elite--drivers of the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Aston Martin. And that, sports fans, might just be worth the price of admission.

Who says Cadillac is out of touch with the younger driver?

Sweet V-16 The name speaks to the car's powerful 16-cylinder, 1000-horsepower engine and Cadillac's heritage as a maker of fine luxury automobiles. Cadillac's reputation grew exponentially during the '30s in no small part because of the development of the automotive industry's first V-16. The Cadillac Sixteen's grand exterior proportions create an unparalleled presence; its splendid interior is meticulously handcrafted and urbane. "The Cadillac Sixteen proportions were crafted with great attention to detail and homage to classic design," said Brian Smith, the Cadillac Sixteen's exterior designer. "The Cadillac Sixteen evokes an era when luxury cars were hand-built."

General Motors' designers drew extensively on the traditions of the coachbuilt era in crafting the Cadillac Sixteen, employing the distinctive talents of leading artisans for the upholstery, instrumentation, interior wood and metal elements, and aluminum body panels.

Looks like an Eldorado doesn't it? Do you think this would stimulate 2 door sales?
