Henry MacLean Sinclair was born May 23, 1908 in High Point, NC to Logan Carson Sinclair and Isla Myrtle Fraser. He went to grade school in High Point and his family moved to Winter Haven, FL in 1921. He went to the University of North Carolina for three years and then on to law school at the University of Florida with his brother, Carson, receiving his Bachelor of Laws in the class of 1932.He married Helene Alice Sonsteby in Chicago, February 19, 1937. That marriage ended in divorce in 1950, and he then married Jean Shank Morehard. He died September 17, 1977 in Miami Beach, FL.
Henry was appointed city attorney for Winter Haven in 1934 and was elected to the Florida State Legislature in 1937.
He joined the Navy in WWII and was on the troop carrier Leedstown when it was sunk off the coast of Algiers in November 1942.He came home on leave and finished his tour in Miami, Florida.
