This is a false-colour composite Landsat satellite image mosaic of Oman which is intended to show the approximate locations of pictures shown on my site.  Some of the names on the map will link to other pages on this site.

Please note that the image is distorted as a result of scanning and that international borders, as marked, are not to be accepted as an authority in any way. The border with Yemen as shown in the CIA fact book pages has been amended by treaty between Oman and Yemen.

Permission to publish any map of Oman should be obtained in advance from the National Survey Authority of the Ministry of Defence of the Sultanate.

The file size of this image is 238 K. The image will take 30 seconds or more to download fully at 28.8K.

The mosaic was compiled by the National Remote Sensing Centre, Farnborough, Hampshire.
