Chiangmai

Location : ChiangMai located in the north of Thailand, between
                 16th latitude North and 99th longitude East. It is 1,027
                 feet (310 meters) above sea level. The width from the
                 east to the west is about 138 kilometers the length
                 from the north to the south is about 320 kilometers.
                 It is about 750 kilometers form Bangkok by train and
                 about 720 kilometers by car.

                    South - Sam-ngao District, Tak Province
                       East - ChiangRai, Lamphun and Lampang
                      West - Mae Hong Son Province

Climate : The weather in ChiangMai is rather cool all year
                 round. The average temperature is 25.4c. On the
                 average the highest temperature is 31.8c. The
                 relative humidity is 72%

Landscape : In general there are a lot of mountains and valleys in
                     ChiangMai, and there are plains in the middle part along
                     the banks of the Ping River. The In-tha-non Mountain has
                     the highest peak in the country at 2,565 meters.
                     It is located in the Chom Thong District and Mae Hong Son Province
                     It is 106 kilometers from ChiangMai, and it is one of the
                     most popular tourist attractions. The other high mountains
                     are Doi Pha Hom Pok which is 2,297 meters,
                     Doi Luang-Chiang-Dao 2,195 meters, and Doi Suthep 1,679 meters.
