A high pressure system over Norway gave the Uk a last taste of winter due to an Atlantic front "bumping" into the cold air. It snowed heavily in Wales for 1 day and snowed the night in England and by 10pm most of the country was under the most heavist snow of the winter but then the front sadly turned to rain and all that was left in the morning was small areas of slush. Winter was then over.

It was 29th Feb 2004 after a battering from Easterly gales and snow flurries in the SE now winter wanted revenge and he decided he might as well cover Wales, SW England, Scotland and some NW areas in a blanket of snow. Sadly Glasgow, the SE, South Central England and some areas in the NW missed out yet again!

A cold front sweept down the country causing, gales, rain, hail, blizzards and thunderstorms! The intensity was amazing but what was left behind wasn't. After 2 days the Atlantic High gave up and a return to mild conditions once again returned

Jan 30th 2003, now this was something! The day started off with drizzle then it started sleeting, then snowing very heavily. Hugh flakes were now falling down and the ground slowly whitened due to the severe intensity. It stopped al went sunny, then a total whiteout occured for about 10 minutes. Increadible! Snow was on and off all afternoon. Probally the best day of my life!
