Our Favorite Haunts, Hangouts, and Pasttimes
Scarborough Renaissance Festival (Scarborough Faire).  Leah was in Cast 16 years ago, and has attended ever since.  Look for us with the Royal Court, with Pirates, or those rowdy Scots.
Hawkwood Fantasy Faire.  In Fort Worth Texas, near the Texas Motor Speedway.  A little more intimate than Scarborough, more for you die-hard Renn junkies.
TRF - The Texas Renaissance Festival, Magnolia Texas.  Outside Houston, held each fall.  Huge, tons of Vendors, costumed performers, great food - but wear comfortable shoes!
Dickens On the Strand, Galveston, Texas. 2000 was our first year, but we will definitely be going back.  Held the first weekend in December, in the Historic Strand District.  If you are in Victorian Costume, you get in free!  Dinners, balls, tours of Victorian mansions, carollers, great food, theatre, parades and fun.  COLD, but fun!

Okay, you've all been asking where pictures of me (Leah) were.  You didn't think I'd actually post any, now did you?  So here's one from 16 years back (gads! - 1986!!!) at Scarborough.  That's the herald in white, me under the parasol in black and red as Jean Marguerite de la Laing Pochet, the Vicomptess de Razem and Baroness of Kirkhoven.  I'm with good friend Bertram Tracepersel (aka Dan Bates, one of the very talented voices on FM 101.1 WRR Classical Radio).  I was in cast that first year, and have been attending SF regularly for the last 15!
