The Slipper and the Rose Fansite

Hailed as the last of the classic musicals, The Slipper and the Rose is a retelling of the classic tale of Cinderella. It was directed by Bryan Forbes with music written by the Sherman Brothers (known for Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang). It claims such names as Richard Chamberlain (Prince Edward), Annette Crosbie (The Fairy Godmother), and Margaret Lockwood (The Stepmother) just to name a few. Most love the film version, but it has had a healthy career on the Brittish stage, and nearly sold out every show for it's american premire at the Hale Center Theater in Salt Lake City, Utah.
