Pictures of Brazil

During December of 2000 and January of 2001 I traveled throughout Brazil, From Iguazu falls and Sao Paulo in the South, to Bahia in the Northeast, and up along the Amazon River. These are photos, arranged thematically, from that trip.

Modern Architecture. Pictures of the modernist paradise, Brasilia, as well as photos of glass boxes in Rio de Janeiro (22 photos).

Colonial Architecture. Brazil also has a long and rich colonial history. On this page are photos from Ouro Preto, Bahia, and Sao Luis (22 photos).

The Amazon. I took a six day boat trip up the Amazon. These are photos from that trip (19 photos).

Just Tiles. The historic towns in Brazil often have some incredible tile work. I collected my photos of these on a single page (12 photos).
