God's 7,000 Year Theory

Most people have never heard about God's 7000-year master plan for mankind. That great plan is pictured by the seven-day week. As Genesis shows, God refashioned the earth and created all life forms in six days and then rested on the Sabbath. God also gave man six days in which to work, followed by a day of rest (Ex. 20:9-11). On the seventh day, man is to put aside his normal routine of daily activities and worship the true God (Isa. 58:13-14).

The apostle Peter undoubtedly understood that the seven-day week is a pattern which applies to time on a far grander scale. He wrote, "With the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day" (II Pet. 3:8). The apostle Paul also had this principle in mind when he explained that the seventh day of the week pictures the peaceful time of rest that will follow this present age of human activity (Heb. 4:3-11). The apostle John tells us that this period will occur after Christ's intervention in world affairs and that it will last a thousand years (Rev. 20:1-4).

Since the seventh day of the week symbolizes 1000 years of peace under the rule of Jesus Christ, the first six days of the week represent 6000 years in which man has been allowed to govern himself and work out his own ideas and plans. In other words, each day of the week represents 1000 years of human existence.

Where are we now in this great plan?

Charts which list biblical events in time order (these can be found in some Bibles) are accurate enough to show that HUMAN LIFE was created about 4000 years before the birth of Christ. History makes it clear that almost another 2000 years have elapsed since then -- making a total of nearly 6000 years of human civilization to date. In short, man's "week" is nearly over, and God's great millennial rest will soon be here.

We are now between the 6 and 7th day...

Timeline of the World

The Bible is God's Word. Dating back to the creation of the world it provides mankind with the only infallible record of history relevant to salvation. Here is a brief chronological record in A.M. (anno mundi) years; which means 'the year of the world.' Let the reader prayerfully consider the awesome conclusion to which this article arrives - that the Saviour's return is near and that Time is Short.

Just some highlights presented here...

Genesis 1:27 Adam created in Yahweh's image which was year 0
Genesis 7:11 The Flood came when Noah was 600 which was year 1656
Exodus 7:7 Moses was 80 at the time of the Exodus 2513
1 Kings 6:1 Building Solomon's Temple started 480 years after Exodus. 2993
Scripture and secular sources agree that Solomon's Temple was completed in about 1000 BC:
which was in A.M. 3000.
Another 1000 years brings us to the Saviour's birth in about A.M. 4000.
In the 17th century Archbishop Ussher of Armagh calculated that the creation occurred in 4004 BC.
J B Dimbleby, astronomer, historian and author of the book All Time Past, along with other historians, differs by a few years from Ussher's creation date. Dimbleby calculated that the creation occurred in 3996 BC.

Either way we reach an astonishing conclusion,
that according to Scripture the creation of this world
took place about 4000 BC, which is just about

6000 years ago!

Why is the year A.M. 6000 so important?

The answer is: because the Almighty, as far as humanity's allocated period of time is concerned, could well be working to His Sabbatical Principle, in which 'every sixth period of time is followed by a seventh period of rest - a Sabbath.' In other words the coming Biblical millennium A.M. 6000, (not the Year A.D. 2000), could well be the start of Yahweh's Sabbath Rest when the kingdoms of this world will be taken over by the Kingdom of God.

Of course, no one except the Father knows the exact year of the Saviour's return (Matt. 24:36), when the Biblical millennium will begin. We are certainly not attempting to set that date. Too many preachers have tried it, only to be proved wrong. What we are saying is this: IF in the matter of mankind's allocated period of time, the Almighty is working to His Sabbatical Principle, and it is our opinion that He is, then the coming millennial reign, the Sabbath Rest of God, could well begin within the next decade.

Also bear in mind that to save the human race from extinction, that time is to be cut short:

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved; but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Other prophecies indicate that before the Biblical millennium begins, that is before the Saviour returns, there will be about a seven year period during which the Antichrist will appear on the world scene.

...and it just may happen in YOUR lifetime!
