QB Game of the Year
2001 QB Gaming Gold Awards
Spanning across four different videogame
genres, the top five nominees for QB Game of the Year clearly show how
QB has matured from becoming an RPG-centric gaming language. Among the
nominees include an addictive puzzle game, two QBRPGs, one platform game,
and an arcade spaceshooter. All five of these games have become memorable
in their own right, but only one of these games can be Game of the year,
and like every year the decision is always difficult for QB gamers everywhere.
The Nominees for QB Game of the Year
are:
Ultimate Super Stack (Oren Bartal)
With thirty game levels, the sequel to
the original mind-bending puzzle game by Oren Bartal continues to torment
and entice QB puzzle game fans.
Mysterious Song (Darkness Ethereal)
The latest installment to Darkness Ethereal's
line of QBRPGs is considered by many to be the best of all time.
Kids of Karendow (PHAT Games)
PHAT Game's final update to Kids of Karendow
before continuing the series in C++ shows the Kids of Karendow looking
their absolute best.
Dynamic: Colonization of Jupiter (Sasha
Vukelich)
With deep gameplay and plenty of levels,
Dynamic shows off the complexity of a complete QB spaceshooter.
Promzone (SV Reanimator)
While there's only one level so far, PromZone
has already exceeded the expectations made of a QB platforming game.
And the winner is...
Mysterious Song!
