A trio of 11-3 teams head into the post season. These three teams are head and shoulders about the rest. And there seems to be little difference between them. Each has reeled off long winning streaks. JK won six in a row at the start of the season and have won tree in a row. Brown has won seven in a row. Brad Moses, eight in a row. Logic dictates that these three teams will keep those streaks intact. Logic says these three teams should advance easily to the second round.

Logic and the BRFL playoffs - should never be mentioned in the same sentence.

So what will happen? You've come to the right place to find out. I don't know why I even bother to post weekend results on Tuesday. I tell you what is going to happen on Friday and that's the way it goes. Last Friday I posted my opinion of the playoff pairings and - guess what, totally correct. I was 5-1 last week. 56-27-1 in the regular season. That's a .672 average. As the season heats up, so do I. 81 percent correct over the last six weeks. I told you last week who was gonna be in and who was gonna win. Check out my webite at WWW.BRFLWINNERS.COM or call my 900 number at 1-900-BRFLWIN. That's 3.95 per minute.

First Team All-BRFL Regular Season

Statistics are based on starting points only. The first two picks in the draft, St Louis and Faulk, no surprise. Only Shaun Alexander, who would have scored 110 points if started every week, qualifies as a surprise.

Ricker vs Jones Klingman

The reward for being the top seed means you shouldn't have to face a high scoring 8 seed whose all-BRFL QB is playing the lowly Panthers. Oh well, there are no sure things in life. Not even a 38-8 halftime lead is safe.

This rematch of last years Super Bowl should be high scoring. I'm not going to predict 64-61, but it will be up there. Call it "Ricker's Revenge". JK will end their season against Ricker for the second straight season, but with an outcome that is not as favorable. Enjoy that division check, boys...

Outlaw vs Brad Moses

The second of three 11 win teams, Brad Moses, faces division mate Outlaw. Mr Consistent vs Mr Inconsistent. B-Mo has reeled off eight straight wins averaging 46 points and Outlaw has been scoring 64 points one week and 14 points the next. Outlaw will likely counter with Baltimore QB at home vs the Bungles while B-Mo Saint's face the Bucs. That might tip the scale slightly towards Outlaw, but the rest of the line-up is all B-Mo. I expect this game to be somewhat tight... played in the 30s, but I expect B-Mo to eek it out.
B-Mo 36 Outlaw 33

Rick Moses vs Brown

Rick Moses may be perfect in the TWFL, but he has had an up and down year in the BRFL. Philadelphia visits San Francisco, who has been a sturdy defense of lat notching two shutouts in three weeks. Next door are Nander's QBs, Oakland, playing host to Tennessee. The Titans have had a pretty leaky defense of late. Marshall Faulk played 1/2 a game against the Panthers earlier this year and still scored 22 points.

Bring on the next Moses please, Nander in a wipeout.
Brown 62 R-Mo 30

Best vs Jackson

When Jackson proposed a trade with Best, he saw trouble brewing in week 15. What he didn't see was that his week 15 opponent would be the very team that he traded with. Since the trade three weeks ago, both the Minnesota and Green Bay QBs have thrown the same number of TDs. But Jerry Rice has scored in each of the last three weeks. Cris Carter has not scored. The trade has potentially cost each team a win. This is the week that some one will benefit from it.

The prediction here is Best will make it 3-0 versus Jackson in the playoffs. Since the deal, Daunte Culpepper has been injured and the Vikings have all be eliminated from the playoffs. Pride is all they have left, but this is a team that does not play well for pride. Meanwhile, Green Bay is fighting for a division title. They occasionally slip up and usually bounce back. Weather maybe a factor in Green Bay, as it is December.
Best 44 Jackson 38
