Use the color "white" as your eraser.

After a JAVA Applet has been reloaded several times, it usually begins to act up a little; and the only way to get everything going correctly again is to simply close your web browser and open it up again. If there are portions of whole missing, such as the Color Palette, re-opening your browser should take care of this also.
