Gameplay Help:
Bosses

This page contains the Major Bosses in the game that are usually most difficult.
If there's a boss that's not on this page that your having trouble with or you have any further questions, E-Mail me.

Before attempting to defeat each/any of the following bosses ALWAYS remember to have a generous supply of Mid Mushrooms, Maple Syrup, Kerokero Cola, Power Blast, Crystalline, and Pick Me Ups.

Boss: Bundt
Location: Marrymore
Let's face it - Nobody expects to have to fight a 6 foot wide wedding cake, but you have to be ready for anything.
Now, Bundt isn't really that hard if you attack it the right way.
Focus your attack on the Candles, not on Bundt or Chef Torte. Once you put out the candles, then attack Bundt.
Your party should be: Mario, Geno, and Bowser. Use Mario's Jump Attacks and Regular Attacks. Geno should use his Geno Boost on Mario and Bowser, and use his Geno Whirl. Geno should use Mushrooms and Syrups when needed. Use Bowser's regular attacks.
At the end of this crazy paradox Booster comes along and eats the cake in one big gulp.
Boss: Yaridovich
Location: SeaSide Town
I've heard cat, I've heard dog, I've heard man, I've heard woman, just what is Yaridovich??? Take my online poll and voice your opinion on what you think Yaridovich is.
Regardless of what Yaridovich is Yaridovich is NOT easy to beat!!!
You should have Mario, the Princess, and Mallow in your party.
Use Mario's Regular Attacks and Jump Magic Attacks. Only use Mallow's Thunderbolt, otherwise he should be in defense. Put The Princess in defense mode unless she's using her Group Hug or using Mushrooms/Syrups.
The first thing you should do in the battle with Yaridovich before anything else is use Power Blast and Crystalline on your party members to gain a little advantage. If you do not have any I strongly suggest you buy some- available at the Tadpole Pond with frog coins.
Boss: Jinx
Location: Monstro Town
The key to defeating the Jinx is to use Mario's Ultra Jump, his regular attacks go along good with it too. Use The Princess's Psych Bomb on the little guy and use maybe 1 Rock Candy a round on him. Geno should use his Geno Whirl and Geno Beam.
Don't expect to beat this little guy in record time.
With victory comes the Jinx Belt.
Boss: Culex
Location: Monstro Town
So, you're having trouble with the Culex?... You probably are, or else you wouldn't be reading this.
Anyway, to defeat the ever popular Culex, go in swinging with Mario, The Princess, and Bowser.
Again, before attempting to defeat the Culex AT LEAST be on level 24-25 and use Crystalline/Power Blast (available at the Tadpole Pond) to boost your party before the storm.
Put the Saftey Ring on Mario- if you don't have the Saftey Ring yet, GET IT!!! It protects the wearer from Magic Attacks and Instant Death.
Also if you don't have a generous supply on Rock Candy (like 8-10) GET SOME as well. Use Rock Candy by pressing the "X" button to use it and just before it explodes press the "X" button again. If you press it at the right time it will take 350 HP away from everyone!!! Also, check the Secrets Page as well to find out more about how to use Rock Candy effectively.
Use Mario's Ultra Jump and Regular Attacks. He should have the Lazy Shell by now. The Princess should use her Psych Bomb and throw the Rock Candy. Her Come Back and Group Hug will also come in handy. Like I always say, if The Princess is not in use put her in defense! Use Bowser's Crush and Bowser Crush. Also his Regular Attacks also work well.
Go full force and you should have no trouble at all.
Boss: The Smithy
Location: The Smithy Factory
The Battle with Smithy!
Oh,.... the Smithy...- he's big, he's fat, and he's ugly too!
Now all the Smithy needs is a good old fashioned butt woopin'.
The easiest way I know to defeat the Smithy is to tell him to " eat his brains out " - if he has any.

Now, Mario, Bowser, and The Princess make up the Dream Team, so they should be in your party.
Mario should have the Saftey Pin on and will lead the way with his Jump Magic Attacks and Regular Attacks. The Princess should use her Psych Bomb and Throw Rock Candy if she's not busy reviving the party. Every so often the Princess can bop the Smithy over the head with her Frying Pan (Check the FAQ's Page for info. about how to obtain this mysterious weapon). Bowser should use Regular Attacks as well as his Crusher Magic Attacks.
Not to discourage you, but, when you add it all up, the Smithy has over
40,000 HP!!!!!!
Have fun.
