The temple was announced on 29 July 1998.
Ground was broken and construction begun on 26 September 1998.
The cornerstone was laid and the temple dedicated on 9 January 2000.
There are 2 Sealing rooms and 2 Ordinance rooms in the 11,411 square foot temple.
The spire is 78 feet tall.
The St. Paul Temple serves five stakes and one mission in Minnesota, one stake in Wisconsin, and one district in Ontario Canada.
