I Sat In The Garden

I sat in the Garden with God today,

and with faith I dared to speak.

I sat beneath a solid oak,

close by a gentle creek.

And there we talked of days gone by,

the good and less than good,

and in the presence of his peace,

I clearly understood.

That it mattered not what lay behind,

or what can be no more;

but rather what could yet be done

with the days that lie in store.

Fort it's not time that matters most

but rather how its spent

So I came from the garden renewed,

For in God my life is content
